Scholars discuss Ireland’s role in European economy

Location: UNC-Chapel Hill, Graham Memorial Hall, Room 039

The “Conversations on Europe” speaker series features some of the country’s top experts on the European Union. The series links presenters and participants via videoconferencing across several sites. This month, Stephen Kinsella (University of Limerick), James Donnelly (University of Wisconsin-Madison), journalist Vincent Brown (Irish Times), Klaus Larres (UNC-Chapel Hill), Niamh Hardiman (University College Dublin), and James Lamb (President of the Ireland Institute of Pittsburgh) comment on Ireland’s financial crisis in a forum titled “Tiger in a Cage: Ireland and the New European Economy.” Audiences at all sites will be able to ask questions of the experts. This event is open to the public.
